For when your mind won't shut off

A collection of the things I end up explaining most often, plus the local people I trust. Take what's useful. None of it replaces an actual appointment, but it's always helpful to be informed.

Postpartum Support International

Support for perinatal and postnatal mental health, including local provider directories and a helpline at 1-800-944-4773, which you can call or text.

ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association)

The organization I'm certified through. Useful if you want to understand what pediatric and prenatal chiropractic training actually involves, or find someone qualified in another city.

KidsHealth

Board certified lactation consultants. If your baby's latch problem isn't a neck problem, this is who you need. Plain-language articles on everything from growing pains to sports injuries, with separate sections written for parents, kids, and teens.

Spinning Babies

Positioning techniques for pregnancy and labor. Practical, well explained, and useful whether or not you ever see a chiropractor.

Roar and Next Level, both by Stacy Sims

Exercise physiology written for female bodies, including details on perimenopause. If you're trying to get back into training and everything you read seems to be written for someone else, start here.
